Minister of Investment , Ahlam Medani Mahdi Sabeel affirmed importance of encouraging the national investment  in the country and solving problems and removing obstacles impeding investment in the states.

This came when  the Minister met at her office today the Acting Wali(governor) of the River Nile State, Mohamed Al-Bedawi Abu Guroon

The meeting  discussed fields of investment in the River Nile State  and the problems and obstacles obstructing  investment in the State.

The Minister presented  a briefing  on the Investment Act  and the  administrative legal reforms  which have been made , calling for  directing investments to the states  to develop them.

She revealed that an investment forum would be held in Khartoum next March  with participation  of the States

The Minister  called for concerted efforts  at federal and state  level  to  create attractive environment  for investment.

The Minister of Investment pledged to improve  the work environment by investing in the states and solving all the problems and removing obstacles encountered the Investment , stressing the continuation of the ministry in reform and working to present the  investment opportunities in the states so that Sudan becomes a destination for investment and a stockpile

for local and regional food security.

The Wali of the River Nile State, Abu Guroon said the River Nile State has made stride  in improvement of investment environment  in the State, disclosing that the River Nile State is one of the pioneering states  in investment in fields of agriculture and mining.

He pointed out that the state is working on preparing a number of projects in barrier-free  lands  to attract agricultural investment.
