Khartoum, (SUNA) – A delegation from the National Commission for Human Rights began on Saturday an inspection visit to West Darfur State, following the recent events in Geneina city and Kerenek area.
The delegation headed by the commission’s chairman, Dr. Rifaat Mirghani, has met with the state’s Wali (governor), Gen. Khamis Abbakar, and the Secretary General of the state’s government, and heard a briefing on the events.
The delegation also visited Kerenek area to be informed on the humanitarian situation on the ground and to listen to the citizens there.
