Al-Burhan confers Two Niles Order on French Ambassador

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan has awarded the Ambassador of France to Sudan, Emmanuelle Blatmann, the Two Niles Order (First Class)  on the occasion of the expiry of her assignment to Khartoum in recognition of her efforts for boosting the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has affirmed keenness of Sudan on enhancing its relations with France in a view to realizing mutual interests.

The French Ambassador expressed in a press statement after her meeting with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council at the Republican Palace today, her happiness to witness during her term of service the launch of the December Revolution and the great political transformation it brought about in Sudan.

Ms. Blatmann said that the partnership between civilians and the military is a good model that led to realization of many achievements, adding that they see that Sudan is moving in the right direction.

She indicated that the removal of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism and the signing of Juba peace agreement realized a great openness by Sudan towards the international community and international economic institutions in particular.

The French ambassador stressed that her country will continue to support Sudan, which will have a bright future.
