Sovereignty Council Vice-President meets African Union Envoy

The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, met today in his office at the Republican Palace with the envoy of the African Union, Ambassador Mohammed Labat, in the presence of Representative of the African Union to Sudan, Ambassador Mohamed Belish.

The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, through briefing presented by Ambassador Mohamed Labat, got acquainted with the efforts made to resolve the current political crisis in the country, praising the African Union and its continuous endeavor to address the problems of the African continent within the African-African framework.

Daglo stressed that dialogue is the main entry point for resolving any differences between the Sudanese, affirming the need to reach a comprehensive agreement among all Sudanese to manage the transitional period until the elections stage.
