Mechanism on following up implementation of Khartoum State Development Conference’s outcome formed

Khartoum State government has decided to set up a mechanism to follow up the implementation of the outcome of the Khartoum State Development Conference, which was held recently.

 

In its meeting held Monday under the chairmanship of the Acting Wali (governor) Ahmed Osman Hamza, the Khartoum State Government praised the effort exerted by the Highest Committee on the Preparation for the Conference and the distinguished participation, hoping that the outcome would contribute to finding solutions to the problems that the state suffers from.

 

The meeting directed the Ministry of Urban Planning and the Sanitary Authority to take all measures to complete the planning procedures for sanitation projects, especially those related to the problems left by the current sewage network.

 

Meanwhile, the state government continued to discuss the projects of the strategic plan for the state for the year 2023, presented by the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Strategy and Information Dr. Ihsan Bashir, where the meeting approved the seven projects of the Khartoum State Cleaning Authority at a cost of 3 billion pounds, including the rehabilitation and completion of medium stations for waste compaction, the development of landfills and proper disposal of medical waste and the development of control systems and electronic tracking of mechanisms.

 

The meeting directed the Cleaning Authority to focus on works that contribute to dealing with the accumulation and of waste.
