Nations Jaber chairs 3rd. meeting of National Committee on United Nations

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Lt-Gen. Ibrahim Jaber chaired today at the Republican Palace the third meeting of the Higher National Committee on the United Nations.

In a press statement, Ambassador Nader Youssef, the acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting reviewed preparations of the federal ministries to deal with the requirements and activities of the United Nations, specifically the UNITAMS mission, noting that the federal ministries presented their programs, proposals and visions for how to work with UNITAMS during the next stage, in line with tasks assigned to UNITAMS.

Ambassador Nader added that this will be presented in a document for UNITAMS and the United Nations so that it will be an indication for dealing with the mission in the next phase.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the meeting reviewed the positions of the member states of the Security Council regarding the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, which was presented to the Council regarding UNITAMS in Sudan.Ambassador Nader noted that the meeting underscored the necessity of communicating with the member states of the Security Council, especially those that expressed positive and realistic proposals and visions, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to them for their supportive stances for Sudan at this important stage.
