Foreign Ministry Issues Statement on Disappearance of Khashoggi

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Foreign Ministry pointed out that it is following up with great concern the incident on the disappearance of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.

In a statement it issued Monday, the Foreign Ministry stated that in light of Sudan’s strong ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey, the Sudan calls upon the two brotherly countries to address this issue in its legal and diplomatic dimensions, and through the balance and wisdom for which they are known, and taking into account the ties between them and in recognition of their great role in the Islamic World.

The statement has expressed Sudan solidarity with sister Saudi Arabia regarding the attempts of some international forces to avail themselves the opportunity of this incident to impose their own agenda, calling on all parties to “abort the attempts of foes to undermine the unity of our rank and the solidarity of our nation
