Daglo calls on Abdul-Wahed to join peace

The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, the Commander of Rapid Support Forces, has called on Abdel-Wahid Mohamed Nour, head of Sudan Liberation Movement, to resort to wisdom and join the peace process to end the suffering of citizens living in IDPs camps.

Addressing a mass rally of Central Darfur State components in Zalingei today, Daglo affirmed importance of peaceful coexistence and acceptance of the other in Darfur, stressing the role of the Native Administration in organizing the life of the community through its contribution to resolving issues, praising the security organs in Central Darfur for their efforts in holding reconciliations and imposing the rule of law.

Daglo stressed the importance of stability and security in the State of Central Darfur, calling for convincing Abdel- Wahed Nour of peace, noting that they are ready to negotiate with him.

He pledged to provide security in the areas of voluntary return, indicating that it is their responsibility as a state.
