Abu-Hajja: Media Items Broadcast on Official Channel must Comply with State’s Strategy

The Media Advisor of the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Brig. (Dr.) Al-Tahir ABU-Hajja, pointed out that the media items broadcast on the state’s official channel (Sudan TV) will undoubtedly be given attention and follow-up by all the Sudanese people and international public opinion, therefore it is essential that this media item shall comply with the general principles of the state’s media strategy, which is based on the principles agreed upon by all the Sudanese, and not restricted to the departure of stay of the directors of government media organizations in their positions.

In a press release, Abu-Hajja pointed out that the red lines in sovereign countries are not illusory or contour lines invented and imposed through military instructions, but rather real lines emanating from the conscience of peoples who love their countries and their military institutions, as is the case of the Sudanese people.

He said that the common sense is that the civilians in Sudan are more keen than the military for the sovereignty and prestige of the state, therefore, they get angry when they find that their National Television ignores the news of the Armed Forces, such as broadcasting the news of the Commander-in-Chief at the bottom of the main bulletin while he is the president The country, and television is owned by the government of Sudan.

Brig. Abu Hajja noted that it is strange that the private

tv channels give concern to the protocol and the status of sovereign and executive positions in the state more than the official channel in sometimes, in addition to the national channels’ conduct of exaggerating the demonstrations and violating the orientation and realty.

The Media Advisor said that the national TV’s disregard to the liberation Al-Fashqa and the visits of the military leadership to this area, the use of the official channel in an unclear way and exploiting this TV channel to work against the state, the government and the head of the state are undoubtedly things that every honest patriot will reject.

He stressed that in the coming period there will witness reactivation of the press code of honor and the activation of laws and regulations that govern the work of all media channels and others, without restriction to the freedoms, but to limit the wrong understanding of the freedoms and publishing crimes.

He emphasized that no civilian state can develop and grow without a strong army with high morale, confidence in the leadership.

He stressed that there shall be correction the concept of the relation between the civilians and military personnel through media sincerity and honesty, affirming that the people are the real support for their military institution.

(Dr.) Abu-Hajja indicated that opening the doors for media dialogue and reactivating the scientific workshops to come up with visions and a new understanding of the freedom and democracy, are important issues for paving the way for a real democratic transformation that brings people together and does not separate, builds and does not destroy, that brings hope and not frustrate.
