TSC member Dr. Abdel-Bagi briefed on issues of livestock export

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Abdul-Gadir Al-Zubair, met today at the Republican Palace with the Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Hafez Ibrahim.

The Minister of Livestock and Fisheries noted in a press statement that the meeting discussed issues of animal wealth export, and the completion of Al-Hadi (sacrificial) procedures in cooperation with the relevant Saudi authorities, stressing Sudan’s commitment to meet all liabilities.

He noted that the meeting asserted the need give concern to the fish sector by focusing on fish farming, referring to the studies presented by the ministry in this regard, indicating the desire of a large number of companies to work and invest in this field.

He added that the meeting discussed the operations of the livestock exporter within the ministry’s strategic plan, and how to attract investments to establish modern slaughterhouses, in addition to discussing the camel export because of its great return, “We have formed a special technical committee to study this matter and submit it to the competent authorities to decide on it.” He added.

The Minister of Animal Resources, Hafez Ibrahim pointed to the meeting discussion to the organization of immunization and vaccinating campaigns of livestock in all states.
