Social and Cultural Development Sector sets plan for peace-building

Khartoum,   (SUNA) – The Social and Cultural Development Sector of the Council of Ministers reviewed in its meeting today at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which was headed by Prof. Intissar Saghiroun, the sector’s plan on peace-building and peaceful coexistence during their visit to West Darfur State.

The plan covered two main axes: building social peace and peaceful coexistence, where the most important goals in the peace axis include expanding social development programs, boosting social and economic stability, enrolment of school-age children for free, expanding technical education, and enhancing women’s participation in the higher educational institutions.

Meanwhile, concerning the axis of peaceful coexistence the most important goals include promoting social welfare and coverage with basic health services, responding to the Coronavirus disease and rainfall season emergencies, employing graduates, empowering women economically, and spreading the values ​​of tolerance and love among the components of the society.
