TSC Member briefed on overall situation in Gedaref State

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Al-Taher Abu-Bakr Hajar has got acquainted  with the overall situation in Gedaref State, final stages reached by the Gedaref Water Project, and the problems facing agriculture and financing the agricultural season.

This came when the TSC Member received today in his office at the Republican Palace acting Wali (Governor) of Gedaref state, Mohamed Abdel- Rahman Mahjoub.

Hajar affirmed the government’s keenness on completing financing of the rest of the state’s projects, in coordination with the Sovereignty Council and the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Abdel-Rahman said in a press statement that he presented a thorough briefing to the TSC Member on Gedaref water project, in which work has been completed by 95%, in addition to problems and obstacles that continue to face agriculture and farmers, including delay in funding for the agricultural season and default that a large number of farmers suffer from.

The governor of Gedaref state said that the meeting dealt with the exhibition held by the state, which included the state’s agricultural products, which affirms its contribution to the national economy.
