Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC) Gen. Shams-El-Din Kabashi met Wednesday at the Republican Palace the Envoy of the People’s Republic of China to the Horn of Africa, Xue Bing.
The meeting looked into the deeply-rooted relations between Sudan and China and ways and means of boosting the joint cooperation .
Xue Bing said in a press statement that his visit to Sudan comes within framework of cementing ties of friendship between China and Sudan as well as strengthening strategic partnerships between the two countries, referring to joint coordination between the two countries at regional and international forums.
He described the meeting as constructive and fruitful.
The Chinese official added that the Horn of African is important due to its strtategic position and that makes it subject to foreign interventions , pointing to his country’s rejection to all forms of foreign interventions in this region and stressing China’s support to economic integration in the horn of Africa region and settlement of differences via dialogue.
Bing affirmed readiness of China to provide support and assistance to Sudan
in economic and social fields.
He said that he briefed the TSC member on the China’s vision on achievement of peace and development in the Horn of Africa region.
Bing added that his visit comes within framework of exchanging views and ideas over achievement of peace and security in the region.
