Iraqi Relief Assistance Plane Arrives

Khartoum (SUNA) – The Third Relief Assistance plane loaded with humanitarian and medical assistance for the floods-affected people in Sudan, touched down at Khartoum airport, Wednesday.

The plane was received by the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Dr. Abbas Fadl Almula, the Iraqi Charge d’ Affaires and the Representatives of the Iraqi government.

 The initiative comes in the context of the continuation of the directives of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to launch an air bridge from Baghdad to Khartoum, to contribute to the international relief efforts made after the declaration of the state of emergency in Sudan.
