The First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt-Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo met, Sunday, at his office, at the Republican Palace, the Legal Committee of the Central Committee of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC).
The Committee Member, Nabil Adeeb said in press statements that the meeting discussed the appointment of Chief Justice according to the nominations presented by the committee to the TSC.
Adeeb pointed out that the two sides agreed that the Chief justice should be an independent figure, who does not have any blatant political affiliation, is well-versed in the field of judicial work, , noting that the selection of the Attorney General will be carried out with the same approach and criteria.
He added that what was agreed upon during the meeting will be conveyed by First Deputy Lieutenant-General Dagalo to the Sovereignty Council.
