Al-Burhan affirms Sudan commitment to develop relations with US

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan has reiterated Sudan’s commitment to promote the previous agreements and understandings signed with the US to build strategic partnership that serves the two countries joint interests.

The TSC President who met, today, at the Republican Palace, the US Charge D’ Affaires in Khartoum, Lucy Tamlyn, affirmed the government’s commitment to hold comprehensive dialogue between the Sudanese national forces to reach a consensus that would overcome the current crisis, stressing that the military component would handover the power if national consensus reached.

The President of the Sovereignty Council indicated that the suits filed against some persons were made by the judicial and legal authorities, stressing the independence of the judicial authorities.

The US diplomat, on her turn, affirmed her country’s support to the UNITAMS which leads the political consultations between the components of the Sudanese people.
