Blue Nile: Seven dead and 33 others injured in fresh Blue Nile incidents

The Blue Nile Security Committee issued a statement following the incidents  of Quneis and the Taiba complex in Al-Rossires, which erupted yesterday afternoon and evening.

The statement revealed that the number of dead reached 7 and 23 wounded. The statement explained that the reasons for the outbreak of the events were not yet known, indicating  that the committee held an emergency meeting in the government’s secretariat, which decided the return of the curfew from eight in the evening, the prevention of gatherings except for necessity, and the formation of an investigation committee.

The statement pointed out that the clashes renewed in the city of Umm Darfa (City 7) south of Al-Rossires this morning and left casualties and injuries.

“ The Armed Forces intervened  and the situation is now stable in the city” the statement said.
