President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC) Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan has given directive for developing aspects of joint cooperation between Sudan and India.
Receiving Ambassador Abdalla Omer Bashir in the Republican Palace today prior leaving to New Delhi to assume his post as Sudan ambassador to India, the TSC President called for reactivation of bilateral cooperation between the two countries particularly in the economic, agricultural and investment fields in a way that meets aspirations of Sudan.
Ambassador Abdalla Omer Bashir, for his part, pointed in a press statement following the meeting to ties of cooperation with India in areas of science , technology, agriculture, investment and trade , noting to great progress being achieved by India in the agricultural and technological domains.
He affirmed importance of consolidating relations between Khartoum and New Delhi as India is an advanced country in several domains, referring to the long- standing close relations between Sudan and India.
