Tirik: No Mandate for those who Expand Differences between East Components

The chieftain of Beja tribes, Mohamed Al-Amin Tirik, has warned against dealing with any group or individuals who are not authorized to speak on behalf of the Council or the Coordination Committee of the People of the East, by issuing statements or giving reports without notifying the council’s chairman or rapporteur.

In a press statement after his meeting on Saturday with the Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Tirik stressed that they are in agreement and there are no differences between them, pointing to his mandate at today’s meeting by the Beja Council and the Eastern Sudan Coordination Committee to head the two entities, until the new restructuring is approved.

He said, “No person has the right to write statements or make any statements without the permission of the Coordination Committee and the Council”.

He affirmed that there is no mandate for anyone who causes the expansion of differences and split between the components of eastern Sudan, pointing to the great desire to move the issue of the East forward without prejudice to any tribe or entity, in a way that threatens the agreement that was reached with the Vice – President of the Sovereignty Council and head of the higher committee for dealing with Eastern Sudan issues.

He noted that the meeting with the Vice-President of

the Sovereignty Council assured the importance of providing all the requirements to the border committee headed by Dr. Muaz Tangu, to start its work immediately after Eid Al-Fitr, indicating that work of the rest of the committees is moving at a balanced way and gradually until the issue is resolved.

He pointed out that the East track agreement is suspended so far, adding that they do not want to hear a talk that does not coincide with the decisions of the committee headed by the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, who is the sponsor of peace.
