Khartou, (SUNA) – The members of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Hassan Mohamed Idris Qadhi, Aysh Musa and Rajaa Nicole met Tuesday, at the Republican Palace , Advance delegation of the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) headed by Deputy Chairman Adam Issa Ibrahim.
The meeting discussed ways to speedv upthe peace process in the country.
Issa, said in a press statement that the reason behind war fought by the factions of the armed struggle was freedom, adding that peace and equality are strategic goals for all Sudanese, indicating that their current presence in Khartoum comes within the agreement of good intention agreement signed earlier, in Juba between the peace partners.
He affirmed the movement’s respect for the charters and convenants included in the agreement, calling on the members of the Sovereign Council to address the file of the prisoners of war, and implementing the provisions of the Goodwill Agreement signed in Juba, which stipulated the postpone the appointment of state governors and the Legislative Council until a comprehensive peace agreement is reached.
Meanwhile, members of the Sovereign Council affirmed that the issue of appointing governors and the Legislative Council is included in the negotiation agenda in Juba.
