Sudan participated in the recent meetings of the 110th session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League (AL), represented by Al-Fateh Abdallah Yousef, Director of the Department of Planning at the Ministry of Trade and Supply.

The session on the first day included the meeting of the Economic Committee and the meeting of the Social Committee on the following day, in addition to the meetings of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level.

The agenda of the meeting contained a number of items, the most important of which was the fourth item related to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area and the developments of the Arab Customs Union.

The meetings stressed the importance of trade between the Arab countries, considering Sudan to be the balance of Arab food security, in addition to the interest in Sudan in the fields of investment.

The meetings also affirmed that Sudan is a promising country that enjoys vast fertile lands, in addition to other resources.
