PM back home after participating in opening session of peace talks in Juba

Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Hamdouk concluded today his visit to the Republic of South Sudan, where he attended and addressed the opening session of the dialogue between the transitional government of the Sudan and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North- Abdelaziz Al-Hilu.

He was seen off at Juba Airport by South Sudan Presidential Adviser and head of the mediation committee for the Sudanese peace talks Tut Galwak.

The Prime Minister held a series of meetings during the visit that included President of the Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit, and his two deputies Rebecca Garang and James Wani besides Chairman of SPLM-N Commander Abdelaziz Al-Hilu and  Chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) Abdul Wahid Mohamed Nur.

Dr. Hamdouk also attended in his capacity as Chairperson of IGAD a workshop on formulation of a permanent constitution for South Sudan
