High-Level Delegation of South Sudan Arrives in Khartoum

Khartoum, (SUNA) – A high-level delegation of the Republic of South Sudan, headed by Tut Galwak, the Advisor of President Salva Kiir, arrived in Khartoum on Friday and received by the Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Shams-Eddin Kabbashi.

In a press statement, member of the delegation and Minister of Electricity in the Republic of South Sudan, Dhio Matok, said that the delegation is holding a massage from President Salva Kiir to the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, dealing with the peace dossier and implementation of South Sudan peace agreement.

He said the two countries are currently engaged in continuous consultations on peace, especially with the nearness of formation of a national unity government in South Sudan, scheduled for November 12, pointing out that Sudan’s role is pivotal in the implementation of this agreement as a guarantor.

He added that the delegation will hold consultations with the Sudanese leadership in Khartoum focused on ensuring the implementation of the peace agreement between the parties in South Sudan
