Jabir promises to solve Sudanese community issues in Mauritania

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC) Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir Ibrahim lauded the Sudanese community in Mauritania and  said that wherever we go we  find  the  Sudanese keep reputation of their country.

During  his meeting with representatives of Sudanese community at his  residence in Nouakchott, the TSC Member  referred to the Sudanese-Mauritanian relations , saying that they are  people’s relations  consolidated  by marriage  and that there are Mauritanian families who have been living  in Sudan  since long time.

He called the members of the Sudanese community to cooperate and give the homeland and its reputation their concern.

On issues raised by members of the community, Jabir pledged  to work  with  the concerned authorities for solving them, particularly  the issues related to Sudanese investments  in the glod mining sector.

The Chairman of the Sudanese community in Nouakchott, Muafi Feth Al Rahman Ahmed, for his part, called for reactivation of the joint agreements between the two countries to be an umbrella of protection and guaranteeing  for stability of the Sudanese investments, especially in  field of gold mining sector  .

He said  that  there  are 15  Sudanese  companies operating  in gold mining sector in Mauritania .

Muafi pointed to necessity of organization of relations between miners and the government  in Mauritania.
