Investigation Committee Appeals for Documents relating to June 30 Violations

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The independent committee for investigating in the violations that happened on June 3, 2019 announced that it began to appeal for providing it with documents in which the facts related to the work of the committee were recorded and registered.

The committee indicated, in a written media statement signed by its chairman, lawyer Nabil Adib, Saturday that the required documents include registered and recorded information that were made in writing, by voice or by photo, indicating that this would enable the committee to determine the officials whom it would like to hear their testimonies in the context of the investigations.

The investigation committee pointed out that its appeal is directed to the civil society organizations, political parties, all the media, and all other individuals, asking them to supply the committee with documents on the violations within three weeks since the date of issuing this statement, adding that the appeal is also directed to the individuals who have unrecorded information that they obtained directly through their senses and they are willing to provide these information in the form of an oral testimony,

In order to facilitate the communication with it, the committee announced that it has established a secure website on the Internet that individuals and organizations can access and obtain the form prepared to determine the kind of contact required by the witness and the information available to the person or the organization, explaining that the form will firstly be e-mailed to the committee via an encrypted and secure channel to protect the confidentiality of the information and the identity of the witness who gives it, if he wants.

In its statement, the investigation committee explained that its location is at the crossroad of Al Baladiya Street with Al Tabiya Street (General Command) and that its website is: ji.gov.sd.
