Ambassador Adel Yousif Presents his Credentials to Irish President

Ambassador Adel Yousif Banga presented his credentials to the Irish President, Michael D. Higgins, on Friday, September 16, 2022, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Sudan to the Republic of Ireland.

The credential ceremony was attended by the Irish Minister of Health, Mary Butler, the Secretary General of the Presidential Palace and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as members of the Sudan mission in Ireland.

The ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wished of the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and his wishes to the President of Ireland.

The Ambassador also expressed his pleasure to work in Ireland and to work to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries in all domains.

On his part, the Irish President welcomed the new Sudanese ambassador, wishing him a good and successful stay, stressing the readiness of the concerned authorities in Ireland to cooperate to enable him ambassador to carry out his mission.

He asked the ambassador convey his greetings to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, expressing his hope that the Sudanese parties would agree to make the transitional period a success and to establish democracy, peace and stability in Sudan
