Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary Receives Ambassador of Pakistan

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nadir Yousif, received in his office on Wednesday the Ambassador of Pakistan to Khartoum and expressed his appreciation of the distinguished relations between Sudan and Pakistan and the good level of coordination between the two countries at the international level.

The undersecretary expressed his hope for more progress in the relations between the two countries in all fields.

He tackled the issue of reactivating the role and cooperation between the private sector and the trade and industrial chambers in Sudan and Pakistan as well the exchange of visits between the Sudanese and Pakistani businessmen.

The Pakistani Ambassador affirmed his readiness to work for strengthening further the Sudanese-Pakistani relations; by resuming meetings of the political consultation committees and reactivating the mechanisms of joint cooperation between the two countries, and stressing the importance of resuming meetings of the political consultation committees between the two countries in light of the various memoranda of understanding and agreements that will be signed during the sixth session of the political consultation committees between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Al-Zain Al-Saqqiq, Sudan Ambassador to Pakistan, Salih Mohamed Ahmed, and the Trade and Investment Advisor at the Embassy of Pakistan, Attalla.
