The Chairman of the National Umma Party, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Fadlalla Burma Nasir, has described the Prime Minister’s initiative, which he launched lately, as the key to resolving all the nation’s issues in a patriotic spirit and dealing with all challenges with complete transparency.
Interviewed by SUNA on the initiative of Dr. Hamdouk, Maj. Gen. Burma said that the initiative came at the right time and dealt with the basis of the Sudanese problem, as it showed the failure of all Sudanese people since the independence to achieve a national consensus around which all the Sudanese would rally, a matter which made the country live in divisions at a time when unity and reconciliation were an inevitable necessity to face up all challenges.
Burma stated that the initiative dealt with the main challenges facing the transition, especially the economic and security issues, the issue of social justice, the reform of state civil and military institutions, addressing the people’s livelihood and complementing state institutions, foremost of which is the Legislative Assembly, in addition to the issue of peace and settling its course.
He stressed the importance of starting a consensual process to unite the rank and word of the Sudanese to solve all issues through the required cooperation, as the unification of the people of Sudan is the way out for all Sudan problems along with the need to work seriously according to the charter signed by the forces of the revolution, adding that the civil-military alliance now have an advanced vision Advanced to manage national affairs.
Burma pointed out that any action to overthrow the government of the great revolution is considered a great betrayal of the homeland, stressing that the people of Sudan should work to preserve the government and achieve its goals.
He said that the suffering experienced by the people today is a result of the policies of the former regime and a heavy legacy that the revolution’s government inherited from the former regime.
