FM Meets Secretary General of National Council for Child Welfare

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The Acting Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq, received on Wednesday the Secretary General of National Council for Child Welfare, Dr. Abdul-Gadir Abdalla Abo, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Director of Human, Child and Women Rights Administration, Ambassador Amira Gurnas.

The meeting discussed a number of issues, which included convocation of the higher committee concerned with children at conflict areas,  headed by the Foreign Minister, to stand on the technical committee works, which included the state institutions and the armed struggle  movements to implement the national road-map in cooperation with the relevant  international institutions, and her coming visit to Darfur region.

The meeting touched on the coming visit of the representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Children in Conflict to stand the progress achieved in the field of children protection, as well as the proposed activities and programs to ensure non-recruitment of children, besides Sudan’s cooperation with the relevant United Nations mechanisms.
