Dr. Salma Inspects Al-Huda Reformatory City and Repentant Women House

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Salma Abdul-Jabbar Al-Mubarak, inspected on Wednesday morning Al-Huda Reformatory City and the Repentant Women House in Omdurman city, accompanied by the Head of the Orientation and Services Administration at the Police Headquarters, General Hussein Ibrahim Mustafa, and the Director of the General Administration of Prisons and Reform Major General, Maj. Gen. Yasser Abu Zaid.

The member of the Sovereignty Council was briefed during the tour on all service issues and challenges facing inmates in the reform cities and houses, and got reassured on their conditions.

Dr. Salma has stressed the importance of establishing a new repentant women house that ensures the women rights and preserves their dignity.

She indicated that Al-Huda Reformatory City is model one for reform and rehabilitation, as a newly established city, promising to ease the technical challenges it faces such surveillance cameras and computerization.
