Committee: West Darfur crisis is political

The Higher Committee to Manage West Darfur Crisis has disclosed that the state’s crisis is political in which social complications were used, indicating that the state experiencing difficult humanitarian crisis that needs the collective efforts of the Sudanese people.

The committee, further, called on the judiciary and the prosecution to do justice and provide the police stations with the necessary police forces to protect the displaced people camps, not the criminals.

The committee called in the regular Forum of SUNA, Tuesday, for taking serious measures to remove population density in the accommodation centers.

The Committee Member, Kamal Al-Zain, gave a detailed explanation of the recent incidents in the state and the losses it caused, and the evacuation of the injured to Khartoum.

Al-Zain commended the Governor for taking “courageous” decisions including the declaration of the state as a disaster area.

Hatem Ayoub, the member of the Media Committee, asked about the failure of the International Criminal Prosecutor to visit West Darfur, which witnessed the first shock of the genocide.
