Ayesha Musa Meets Women Guardians Group

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Ayesha Musa Al-Saeed, has underscored the importance of uniting efforts and visions regarding the representation of women and the rate of their participation in ministerial portfolios and government institutions.

She praised during her meeting at the Republican Palace with the Women Guardians Group the great role that the group plays in preserving the revolution’s values and slogans of freedom, peace and justice.

Member of the group, Yusriya Awad Hamad, said the goals of the group are to maintain the women rights and gains and to ensure their just representation in the constitutional positions and at the public institutions.

She announced that the group has filed an appeal to the Council of Ministers and the Constitutional Court to amend the representation of women as stipulated in the constitutional document and by 40%, and delivered a memorandum in this regard to the Transitional Sovereignty Council.
