Hamdouk: Chad has pivotal role in supporting peace process in Sudan

Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has expressed appreciation of Sudan to the pivotal role of Chad in supporting the peace process in Sudan, referring to the great efforts that were exerted by late Chadian president Idriss Deby Itno in consolidating the relations between the two sisterly countries.

This came when the Prime Minister called on the guest of the country, President of the Chadian Transitional Sovereignty Council Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, at the Republican Palace today.

The meeting discussed ways and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

The meeting also tackled a number of issues of mutual concern and ways and means of realizing peace in the region.
