Head of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation, Hashim Al-Subat has affirmed the importance of promoting economic and investment cooperation, facilitating flow of goods and increasing volume of trade exchange between Sudan and South Sudan. This came when Al-Subat received today in his office South Sudan Ambassador to Khartoum in the presence of alternative Secretary General and the General Director of the Federation, Mohamed Ahmed Al-Zain and Abu-Bakr Mohamed Noor respectively. Al-Subat stressed keenness of the Sudanese private sector to resume trade with South Sudan due to strategic relations between the two countries. The South Sudanese diplomat, on his part, pointed to the importance of utilizing the popular diplomacy in strengthening relations between the two countries saying the Sudan private sector could benefit from the high demand in South Sudan markets for the Sudanese goods and commodities.
