Acting Minister of Education and Guidance in White Nile State, Mustafa Hassan Musa, during a meeting today, with Assistant to Commissioner for Refugees in the White Nile State Maj. General (retired) Imad Mustafa, and the Chairman of the Returnees Services Committee in Al-Jabalain locality, Suleiman Judeh, discussed the lack of services and the environment situation at schools of the Judeh Administrative Unit besides services provided by the Commission for Refugees in the state.
The Minister expressed his thanks to the Commission for Refugees for the supporting role it plays in the field of education, saying the schools in the area, need more support particularly in basic infrastructure. The Assistant Commissioner for Refugees explained that the Commission for Refugees coordinates with the UNHCR, to provide services at some facilities at Judeh administrative unit through installation of solar energy project . The project aims at generating Judeh school, the police station, and the headquarters of the administrative unit, Suleiman said. “The commission for refugees also plans to build a fence and bathrooms attached to the Judeh secondary school, in addition to making some maintenance to improve environment at some schools and supports educational process in refugee areas and the hosting communities”, the commissioner for refugees said. Suleiman stressed that the schools in the area need many assistances, including provision of teachers specialized in certain subjects.
