Wali (governor) of Red Sea State Receives Italian Ambassador

 The acting Wali (governor) of the Red Sea State, Fathalla Al-Haj Ahmed, received in his office on Monday the Italian Ambassador to Khartoum, Michael Tommasi.

The Italian Ambassador was accompanied by the Director of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency and the Director of the Italian Cooperation programs in Sudan.

During the meeting they reviewed the aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, and the Wali (governor) appreciated Italian support to the state, especially in the fields of Health and rural development, pointing to the role of the Italian hospital in providing distinctive health services to the children in Port-Sudan.

On his part, the Italian Ambassador explained that the visit aims to identify the activities, programs and projects of the Italian agency so as to coordinate with the concerned authorities to enhance the performance and to implement new projects in the agricultural and Rural Development fields, praising the cooperation of the state government and the interest in Italian aid activities in the Red Sea State.
