TSC President lauds the firmness of Sudanese-Saudi relations

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has commended the Sudanese-Saudi relations, describing them as strategic and strong.

During his meeting this evening on the sidelines of his participation in the second edition of the Green Middle East Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, with His Excellency the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Al-Burhan affirmed Sudan’s keenness and willingness to develop and strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields to achieve interests and aspirations of  the two brotherly peoples.

He said that his participation in the Green Middle East Summit comes at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, stressing Sudan’s support for everything that would make the Green Middle East Summit initiative a success and implement its objectives.

For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince affirmed his country’s keenness on the stability of Sudan and support for cooperation and partnership with Sudan, in all fields, pointing to the establishment of an investment fund in a number of countries, including Sudan, saying that, “3 billion dollars will be pumped into the fund’s projects in Sudan, followed by other payments, and that Within the plan of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, in line with the ambitious vision of the Kingdom 2030.

The meeting reviewed the prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries, and opportunities to develop it in various fields.
