Transitional Council’s Member Informed on Security and Strategic Goods Situations in Khartoum

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and supervisor of Khartoum State, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Abdul-Gadir, received in his office the acting Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, and discussed the general situation in the state, especially the security conditions.

The meeting also reviewed the work flow the state and the citizens’ living conditions, the security situation, as well as the state’s plans to provide strategic goods in the coming period.

The acting Wali (governor) of Khartoum State affirmed in a press statement stability of the security situation in the state, noting that the state’s security committee is continuing its regular meetings and is working to secure all parts of the state in addition to its preventive efforts in this regard.

With regard to securing processions, the acting Wali (governor) explained that he briefed the member of the Sovereignty Council on the state’s plan to secure the processions, which is carried out by forces operating according to specific regulations and procedures in dealing with the processions to avoid any human losses.

He said that the

meeting reviewed in detail the issues of people’s livelihood in addition to the rise in the prices of many necessary commodities, including sugar.

He said that he was briefed the member of the Sovereignty Council and supervisor of Khartoum State on the state’s plan and efforts to enhance toe citizens’ living conditions in the areas of commodities, health, transportation, electricity power and support for the weak categories as well as the medical treatment services and the upgrading of health facilities, noting that the member of the Sovereignty Council will carry out inspection visits in the coming period to a number of utilities and administrations.
