Sudan Participates at Climate Change and Human Rights Conference in Qatar

The National Commission for Human Rights participated during February 21 – 22 in the International Conference on Climate Change and Human Rights in Doha, which was organized by the National Human Rights Committee in the State of Qatar in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Qatar, the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, the United Nations and the Arab League.

The Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Rifaat Mirghani Abbas Al-Amin, said that the conference was held at an important timing due to the climatic changes that the world is witnessing, and that Sudan is concerned with this issue, and aims to benefit from experiences and best practices and experiences of all countries of the world.

Dr. Rifaat has expressed tanks to the National Human Rights Committee in Qatar, which organized this conference and brought together a number of national human rights institutions, experts and academics from all countries of the world.
