Sudan, Ethiopia Sign Cooperation Agreement in Field of Telecommunications

The governments of Sudan and Ethiopia signed an agreement on joint cooperation, exchange of experiences and knowledge in addition to coordination of efforts to promote the telecommunication and digital transformation sectors in the two brotherly countries.

During his visit to Ethiopia, the Sudanese acting Minister of Tele-Communications and Digital Transformation, Adel Hassan Mohamed Al-Hussein, and Ethiopian Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Belete Molla, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Al-Hussein also signed the African Union convention on cyber security and protection of personal data.

Al-Hussein expressed his pleasure and appreciation for the warm reception and his great optimism for this agreement, which, will be a beginning for the technological and technical cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Hussein also extended an invitation to the minister of innovation to visit Sudan as soon as possible.

The Ethiopian Minister of innovation and Technology expressed his great happiness with this visit and the signing of this cooperation document, which he described as historic and will have a great impact on the development of cooperation between the two neighboring countries and promised to stand firmly behind it to achieve its great goals.
