Sudan Affirms its Support for Dialogue to Solve Crisis between Russia and Ukraine

The Transitional Sovereignty Council, chaired by its President, Gen. Abdul-Fattah A-Burhan, Monday held a regular meeting at the Republican Palace.

The council’s member and its spokesperson, Dr. Salma Abdul-Jabbar Al-Mubarak, in a press statement that the Council heard reports of the  members of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General, Naval Engineer, Gen. Ibrahim Jaber, Malik Aggar and Dr. Al-Hadi Idris about the results of their visits to Senegal, Morocco, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Congo and Niger, and their meeting with officials of those countries and informing them of the political developments in Sudan and progress of the transitional period.

She indicated that the member of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Aggar, briefed the council on the outcome of his meetings with a number of political forces and international envoys within the framework of his presidency of the committee which was recently formed to reach a national consensus.

Dr. announced that the council affirmed Sudan supportive stance for adopting dialogue as a means to resolve the crisis between Russia and Ukraine, stressing that Sudan supports the diplomatic solution solve the crisis and supports the ongoing efforts between the two countries.
