SEC Presents Strategic Vision to Address Sudan’s Crisis

The Sudan’s Elders Council (SEC) has presented a strategic vision to solve the Sudanese crisis in order to move towards the future and achieve renaissance development and sustainable peace in the country.

The Chairman of the Council Prof. Mohamed Hussein Abu Salih called in SUNA’s Forum today on those in charge of the country’s affairs to recall the highest level of patriotism, stressing the importance of exploiting the national solutions for crises and establishes strong future foundation based on national well.

Prof. Abu Salih urged the Sudanese parties to offer concessions and considered the national interest above self-interest, describing Sudan as it has distinguishable geopolitical location, which qualifies it to be an attractive area  for international partnership based on external strategic dialogue that leads to fair interests, stressing that this requires a strategic vision, urging the political parties to fulfill arrangements related to announcing a transitional period before the elections.

He indicted the need for restructuring the administrative system of the state and practicing smart management to prepare the scene for comprehensive strategic vision that expresses the interests of Sudan, and limits the state of severe polarization and security chaos and achieve stability. Moreover he indicated the importance of holding a National Conference, in addition to organizing the Sudanese Dialogue Conference, holding the Tolerance, National Interests and Equity Conference, and the National Constitutional Conference.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of Sudan Elders Council Prof. Aladdin Al-Zaki, reviewed the Council’s vision on how Sudan could be govern, noting it should be governed through a specific program, calling on the political parties in the country and all actors to agree on a program in order to achieve political and security stability in the country
