R S F Reaffirms Commitment to Unified National Army

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) issued a press release, today confirming their full commitment to reaching a single professional National Army.

The R S F said  that it participated effectively in the security and military reform workshop, which held during March 26-29, as part of the political process in its final stage.

The R S F reaffirmed their full commitment to achieving one professional National Army, in accordance with all provisions of the political framework agreement signed on December 5 and the paper of principles and foundations of security and military sector reform signed on March 15, especially the issues of reform, including integration and modernization in addition to the democratic civilian transition.

” We  stressed that our relationship with the Armed Forces is an inseparable and that no one will be able to disturb it and we are positively reaffirmed our continuation to work along with the joint technical committees, which will follow up discussion on the rest of the details to complete what agreed upon principles and foundations and we are committed to accelerating discussion of these issues, so that they are included in the final political agreement according to the announced timings, which we hope will facilitate for our country a way out to end the suffering of our patient and persistent people”, the press release reported
