The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has affirmed Sudan keenness to consolidate its relations with Eritrea, describing the relations between the two countries as strategic.

During his meeting Monday at his office with the Ambassador of Eritrea to Khartoum, Eissa Ahmed Eissa, Gen. Al-Burhan stressed the importance of strengthening further the bilateral relations for the interest of the two peoples.

On his part, the Eritrean Ambassador said that he conveyed the greetings of President Isaias Afwerki to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, affirming Eritrea’s firm position and support for Sudan efforts to achieve peace and stability.

He added that the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
