Minister of Animal Resources Chairs Meeting of ICPALD

The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Hafez Ibrahim Abdel-Nabi, chaired today the meeting of IGAD Centre for pastoral areas and livestock development (ICPALD).

The meeting dealt with the center’s overall activity and its role in developing the traditional sector and called for benefiting from the projects and providing the necessary support for the center.

The minister stated that IGAD supported two development projects for the year 2023.

For his part, Eng. Mohamed Siddiq, Chairman of the National Support Team for the IGAD Centre, stressed the importance of active participation in IGAD activities and called for sovereign assistance to implement projects, coordinate with regional institutions and organizations in addition to taking advantage of the Sudan’s presence as a state headquarters of the IGAD Pastoral Center and benefiting from the preferential advantage on the other hand.

Director of Activities and Programs Dr. Zuhal Osman, reviewed efforts being made by the IGAD National Support Mechanism and coordination with the relevant authorities and that all activities were approved at the ministerial meeting.
