Interior Minister and Egyptian Counterpart Discuss Cooperation on Common Security Issues

Khartoum,  (SUNA) –The  Interior Minister Gen. Anan Hamid Mohammed Omer and the accompanied delegation mset during his current visit to Egypt with  the .Egyptian Interior Minister, Mohammed Tewfik

The two sides reviewed cooperation between the ministries of interior of the two countries and ways to strengthening them in addition to the latest developments in security issues of common concern.

On his part, the Interior Minister, Anan expressed his appreciation fo efforts  made  by  the Egyptian Interior Ministry  at the current stage, affirming that the visit comes within the framework of  claose  and the continued consultation between officials of the brotherly countries. He stressed Sudan interest and keenness to exchange experience with Egyptian Security Services and that Sudan is  looking forward  to boosting  communication channels and information exchange mechanisms between the two sides in the  light of the security challenges posed by the current political and security situation in a number of countries in the region.

On his part, the Egyptian Interior Minister, welcomed the Sudanese Interior visit to Egypt and underlined  the Egyptian interior ministry’s keenness to build bridges of communication with the Sudanese security services in the light of the eternal relations between the two brotherly countries and welcomed the strengthening of mechanisms of cooperation and exchange of experiences with the Sudanese side based on full believe in the importance of supporting the process of security and stability in the region.

The Minister underscored importance of concerted efforts to  remove all negative phenomena resulting from  spread of terrorism and organized crimes in all its forms in the light of  data and developments which  have emerged in the regional arena during the past period.
