President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC), Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan ,back home Tuesday evening after participation in the extra-ordinary summit of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development(IGAD) which concluded sessions Tuesday in Nairobi, Kenya, with participation of presidents and heads of state and government of the member states.
He was received at Khartoum airport by the TSC Secretary-General, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yusuf.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq said in a press statement that the Nairobi Summit was one of the most successful summits of IGAD since its foundation in 1986, pointing out that the all presidents and heads of state and government of the organization agreed to intensify cooperation among the member states to confront challenges and problems facing the region.
He added that the presidents and head of states of IGAD have commended the huge role being played by Sudan in organizing and successful of the summit as well as leading the work at the organization despite the complicated political conditions that Sudan the countries of the region are going through.
The Minister noted that the Summit agreed that Khartoum will the headquarters of IGAD’s Health Emergency.
