HRC expresses concern over increasing suppression on peaceful protests

 The Human Rights Commission (HRC) has expressed deep concern over the incidents took place before the Army HQs last Tuesday.

The commission underlines in a press statement it issued today, announced that it formed Higher Investigation Committee to find out those who carried out these crimes, stressing that the outcome of the investigations will be announced to the public as soon as possible.

The Commission also expressed its deep concern on the increasing acts of suppression of peaceful demonstrations and assemblies with excessive and unnecessary force.

The statement appealed to the Attorney General to take the necessary criminal measures against all those who involved in these violations.
