Government Takes Over Jebel Amir From Al-Geneid Company

Jebel Amir, North Darfur (SUNA) – Sudan Government has officially, received, Jebel Amir, a famous gold production area, from Al-Geneid Company.

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Heba Mohammed Ali announced on Wednesday, at Sarifa Locality, North Darfur State, that the government received Jebel Amir Area from Al-Geneid Company in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Mining and constructive partnership with Al-Geneid Multi activities company.

Dr. Heba underlined that the agreement is considered important step to increase the state’s revenues and development of the region and the locality, describing the move as achievement or the Transitional Government concerning the establishment of the state’s institutions.

The minister expressed hope that the agreement will be real partnership between the Federal governments, the state, locality and the people of the area based on real interest.

 The minister said that one of the most important goals of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning is to increase production and productivity, especially in the field of gold, to achieve economic stability, growth, sustainable development, just peace and achieve the well-being of the citizen.

“The government works on all files that contribute to improvement of people’s livelihood and development and prosperity of the Sudanese people” the minister concluded.
