Gibril : US$14.1 billion Of Sudan’s debts owed to Paris Club creditors relieved

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gibril Ibrahim has announced that US$14.1 billion of Sudan debts owed to Paris Club Creditors Group were relieved and the remaining debt is rescheduled.

Meanwhile the Minister expressed his congratulation to the Sudanese people over his Facebook personal account, saying that he actually received the relief of US$14.1 billion of the debts owed to Paris Creditors Group and the remaining US$9.5 billion debt is rescheduled until reaching the completion point with the stoppage of paying the service of the debt during this period.

The Minister added that” We will seek reaching a similar result or better one with creditors from outside Paris Club.”

It notes that the Minister traveled to Paris last Wednesday accompanied by Central Bank of Sudan Governor to participate in Paris Club’s meeting.
